The Pub (Kemang)

Written By Unknown on Selasa, 13 Januari 2009 | 05.22

Kemang had the reputation of being a place for high school kids, but with more pubs and expat hangouts opening, it is no longer true.

The Pub actually opened almost two years ago, by the same team who brought us Mad Dogs in Cilandak (Walter Kaminski, who might be Australian but I'm not sure).

The concept is very similar: The Pub is a friendly place, great for grabbing a beer after work and have some food (American mostly). It is not cheap, but portions are big so you won't starve five minutes after you're done eating.

I don't really understand what happened, but it used to be named Prost Beerhouse. Prost was a great venue for hard rock, indie and metal bands, but the new management seems to be wanting The Pub to be more like a regular bar. Still, you have live music on a regular basis, and I invite you to check its facebook page for updates: The Pub Live Music.

Live sport watching is another focus in the bar, with a lot of Australian sports, and in particular the AFL.

Practical information:
Ladies night every Tuesday and Saturday with a free welcome drink and 50% off on the rest all night long.

Open everyday from 11am to midnight (Sunday to Thursday) and from 11am to 1am (Friday-Saturday).
