Marché Senayan restaurant is a venue that should not be taken seriously. It is a mix between a restaurant, a supermarket and Disneyland. The concept is to re-create an open-air market in Switzerland, where you can buy your food at a specific stall, and then eat it.. It is not a place to have a date or a business lunch, but if you have kids, they will love it. The designers did a really good job and they paid great attention to details. It's quite expensive (150k to 200k for a meal) and the food is average but worth knowing!

Update October 2010: The management of Marché sent me an email that I find interesting to post here because I may have been too subjective about it:
"Dear Blogger,
First of all I would like to thank you for even mentioning our restaurant concept (also it’s not all correct and therefore not so positive);
At least people will notice us and can make up there on mind.
We serve very healthy ,organic food and Fruit products, no preservatives, additives, or frozen products are used.
Everything is made from scratch every day fresh, show me one other restaurant who is doing that??
We also serve original homemade bread with no preservatives where the yeast /dough is resting for a minimum of 24 hours therefore keeping the taste and nutrition value intact before baking.
The only real French Baguette in whole Jakarta (which is not done with ready bread mix or other speed up processing like in hotels) you will find in our Restaurant, where we serve 10 different kind of breads and even do special orders for our Expat guest on request.
Therefore we are not expensive as you stated , also you can get food already starting at 12K up to 168K (not 150-200K as stated), of course if you are tempted and buy more items than your average check will increase as well.
We are very family friendly as you observed correctly, nevertheless we have private cabins/Hut’s which are separate, where we can hold any kind of venue/function for corporate presentation, Business lunch or others.
I’m also happy to mentioned that we had very successful Business lunch/dinner venues with letters of appreciation from UBS bank, Chevron, Mobil oil, Siemens Nixdorf, Nokia, herbal life, Citibank, OCBC, Schlumberger, and many others.
We also honored to have hosted the Ambassador Wine tasting events with the Excellences from Switzerland, USA, Canada, UAE, France, Slovakia, India, Paraguay just to name a few.
So we are more than just a kids friendly family venue, maybe you should give it another try to find out more about us!"
